What is Blue Light?

Blue light exposure may increase the risk of macular degeneration. The fact that blue light penetrates all the way to the retina (the inner lining of the back of the eye) is important, because laboratory studies have shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina.

Do I need thin lenses

High prescriptions may require a thinner lens. It can be dangerous and/or uncomfortable if you require them and do not have them. When purchasing this upgrade we will use either 1.6 or 1.67 index lenses, whichever is suitable for your prescription

If you are unsure if you need them, no stress! You can proceed here without, and a trained member of our team will call you if we have any concerns.
